ACTUAL TEXT ON BACK OF CARD:

Everett "Cotton" Owens was not only a remarkable driver, he was also a master mechanic. After Owens retired as a driver, he formed his own team in 1963 and won 40 races, including the 1966 national championship with David Pearson at the wheel. Owens would help to shape the careers of many drivers, including Pearson, Buddy Baker, and Pete Hamilton. He would later build and maintain race cars for driver and country singer Marty Robbins. Owens was inducted into the Stock Car Hall of Fame in 1970.

Shown on the reverse, Cotton tunes his 1964 Dodge Coronet, powered by a 426 Hemi producing 425 horsepower. 1964 marked the debut for this awesome powerplant, which Owens would later use to power Buddy Baker to a new closed-course record of better than 200 miles per hour at the infamous Talledega Superspeedway.
